1. In short
- We only ask for what we need to run our events and programmes and to stay in touch with you.
- We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
- Published results show a participant's name, village, class or school and result – never phone numbers or guardians' names.
- You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your information.
2. What we collect
Event registrations
The participant's name, parent or guardian's name, class and school or coaching centre (quiz), date of birth and gender (races), team name and players' names and ages (team events), mobile number, email address and village or town.
Payments
The amount, what it was for, how it was paid, the UPI transaction ID and payment screenshot you send us, and whether our team has confirmed it. You pay in your own UPI app, so we never receive your UPI PIN, bank password or OTP.
Donations
Your name, email, phone (optional), amount and message, and whether you agree to be listed as a supporter. For donations made by UPI: the UPI transaction ID and the screenshot you upload.
Volunteers
Name, mobile and WhatsApp, email, age group (with a parent or guardian's agreement for anyone under 18), occupation and school, college or workplace, village, district and state, why you want to join, how you can help, your availability, how you heard about us and, if you choose to add one, a photo.
Contact, partnership and newsletter forms
What you type in them: usually your name, email, phone and message; for partnerships also your organisation, website and address; for the newsletter, your email address.
Photos and videos at events
We take photos and videos at our events and may share them on this website and our social media. If you do not want a photo of yourself or your child used, tell us and we will remove it.
3. Why we use it
- To register participants, run events, publish results and award prizes.
- To match and confirm payments and donations, and to tell you when they are confirmed.
- To contact you about your registration, an event, your volunteer application or your question.
- To send our updates by email if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To keep proper accounts, prevent fraud and meet our legal duties.
4. What we publish
When results are announced we publish, on this website and in a downloadable PDF: the participant's name, village, class or school, registration number, marks or time and position. We never publish phone numbers, email addresses, guardians' names or dates of birth.
Donors' names, amounts and messages are shown only with their permission (see our donation policy).
5. Children
Many of our participants are school students. A child under 18 may be registered for an event or apply to volunteer only with the agreement of a parent or guardian, which the forms ask for. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their child's information.
8. How long we keep it
- Event registrations and results: as long as they are part of our event records and published results.
- Payment and donation records: as long as the law requires for financial records.
- Volunteer, contact and partnership details: until they are no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Write to contactmonadnocks@gmail.com or call +91 75410 62514. We reply within 7 days. We may need to keep some records – for example of payments – where the law requires it.
10. Keeping it safe
The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, the admin system is password-protected and only our team can use it, and payments are made in your own UPI app, so we never receive your UPI PIN or bank details. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a problem that affects your information, we will tell you.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we change how we work. The date at the top shows when it last changed; important changes will also be announced on our Updates page.
