About us

About the Monadnocks Foundation

A non-profit organisation based in Purhara, Aurangabad, Bihar, working across more than a dozen villages in education, sport, the environment, culture and women's empowerment.

Who we are

Our story

At the Monadnocks Foundation we believe that meaningful change begins at the grassroots. We are a non-profit organisation based in the village of Purhara, Haspura, in the Aurangabad district of Bihar.

The Foundation was started by Monu Raj, Sonu Raj and Raj Bhushan Raj with one purpose: to create opportunities where there were barriers. It began as a small initiative in Bihar.

Our work began by listening to what people around us need – students preparing for the civil services, women seeking economic independence, and young people looking for a platform for their talents. We turn those needs into programmes in education, sport, the environment, culture and women's empowerment.
